JCC SLO's weekly newsletter lists upcoming JCC events and programming, events and programming of other local Jewish organizations, relevant local news, and occasionally Jewish news and stories from around the globe. We keep members aware of what is happening in the next month or so. Further out into the future, you can view our community calendar.

FAQs

Where is the community calendar?
Please go to this page to see our community calendar.

There, you can subscribe to add events to your own calendar. And, you can submit events for our calendar as well.
how do I get an event from my organization listed in your newsletter?
If your organization would like to get an event listed, please go to our Calendar page and select "Submit an Event" with all relevant information. We will review your completed form and either approve or deny the event. If you need help or have questions, please email us here!

If you are interested in regular coverage in the JCC newsletter, please take the following steps:
  • (a) Designate a single point of contact for us. That person should have the final word on when things are, what things you want listed, and what things you don't. Also, we will only accept input through that person.
  • (b) Submit your list of events for the upcoming week no later than 12:00PM on Monday.
  • (c) If you can provide us with a list of the dates of future events, please let us know that too, and we will add it to the calendar, and to the weekly newsletter.
i found a mistake, what can i do?
Please let us know. Keep in mind that we have a primarily volunteer staff and we rely on third parties to provide much of the information, so we're only as good as our sources. Our e-mail system allows a limited number of "sends" each month. As a result, the most efficient way for us to update mistakes is on our Facebook and Instagram pages. However, we do our best to make sure people get to the right place at the right time.
