Camp Shoreshim Policies
COVID-19 Guidelines and Updates:
Camp Shoreshim and all attendees, staff, and volunteers will be following the latest COVID-19 guidelines in accordance with CDC, State, and County precautions for summer day camps.
Please find the CDC’s “Guidance for Operating Youth Camps” here and the latest “COVID-19 Guidance for Day Camps” from the California Department of Public Health here. The SLO County Department of Health follows the state’s guidelines for COVID-19 safety and prevention.
There will be hand sanitizer and masks available throughout the camp area for campers, staff, and volunteers if they wish to use those precautions. We also have two outdoor hand washing stations for campers, staff, and volunteers to use during the day before meals and after activities.
Cancellation Policy:
If the JCC cancels a session of camp for any reason, a full credit or refund will be issued. The JCC reserves the right to cancel any camp within two weeks of the program if numbers are below minimum enrollment.
If you decide to cancel, and notify us no later than two weeks before the start of the session you've enrolled in, we will issue a full refund, minus a $50 non-refundable deposit.
Food Policy:
We ask that parents are sensitive to Kosher policy and campers with food allergies. In addition, we ask that lunches are Kosher-style (no pork or shellfish) and do not contain peanuts/tree nuts/nut oils.
Lunch:
Families are responsible for sending campers with a lunch and snacks everyday. We don't have refrigeration for campers' lunches, so please send them in an insulated lunch bag. No lunches or snacks can be shared for proper hygiene.
