WHAT MAKES CAMP SHORESHIM SPECIAL

At Camp Shoreshim, children experience a summer filled with creativity, connection, and discovery.

Campers participate in activities such as:
  • Outdoor games and team challenges
  • Arts and crafts
  • Storytelling and cultural learning
  • Ga-Ga ball and active play
  • Cooking activities and creative projects
  • Music and group activities
  • Kindness and community service projects

On the final Friday of each session, caregivers are invited to join us in the afternoon to celebrate what campers have created and experienced during the week.

WHAT DOES "SHORESHIM" MEAN?

Picture
“Shoreshim” means “roots” in Hebrew.

We chose this name because Camp Shoreshim helps children build roots — in friendship, community, Jewish values, and the natural world around them.

Outdoor exploration is an important part of our camp experience. Campers spend their days enjoying nature, creative activities, games, music, and hands-on learning. Along the way, they are introduced to Jewish traditions, Hebrew words, and cultural stories in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and age-appropriate.

Camp Shoreshim is grounded in Jewish values such as kindness, respect, and community, while warmly welcoming campers and families of all backgrounds. Through arts and crafts, music, learning, outdoor play, and shared experiences, our hope is that every child leaves camp feeling connected to their shoreshim — their roots — and having built their own camp “mishpacha,” or family.

CAMP SCHEDULE

Camp runs daily from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Each session offers a full day of engaging activities, outdoor play, and creative learning.

On the final Friday of each session, caregivers are invited to join us in the afternoon to celebrate what campers have created and experienced during the week.
