Dear JCC Members,
The San Luis Obispo Jewish community has come together on Christmas Day for the past 24 years to help the local homeless population. In addition to the homeless being one of the most vulnerable populations of the COVID-19 pandemic, our County now has a large number of residents struggling with hunger. We will be distributing food and care packages to both of these populations in a socially distanced ‘to-go’ format for walk-up and drive through guests at the Odd Fellows Hall. Additionally, pre-packaged ‘to-go’ meals and care packages will be distributed at 40 Prado Homeless Services Center and numerous pre-designated locations through San Luis Obispo County. Last year, 600 meals were provided.
